About Us
Touch Of Mercy

Touch of Mercy Inc is an independent, non-governmental and not-for-profit organization officially registered in New York State, United States, to equip the socio-economically and culturally disadvantaged community members with requisite information, skills, and tools to access resources for the enhancement of their social determinants of health. Established by a group of like-minded individuals with experiences in diverse fields of endeavor, the organization has been in existence since 2017 and has facilitated and led many programs through collaboration and networking, the bedrock of our operations

The overall aim of Touch of Mercy Inc is to facilitate positive and lasting transformation of the lives of people in communities. Headquartered in New Rochelle, New York, Touch of Mercy Inc facilitates access to reliable healthcare and social services that is often a mirage to a cohort of the community members lacking adequate insurance coverage and facing challenges of low income, unemployment and under-employment, homelessness, single motherhood, among others.

Touch of Mercy Inc prepares our clients by equipping them with the tools they need to find affordable insurance, primary care physicians, food and pantry services, housing/shelter, and other services targeted at improving their social determinants of health (SDOH). Touch of Mercy Inc exists to provide support to clients who have difficulties accessing health care by linking them to primary care providers (PCP) in their neighborhoods. Our services to the community are not limited to health and wellness but covers the wider array of community needs most of which have nose-dived post COVID. We enhance access to mental health professionals, public transportation, food and nutrition, employment, etc. to improve the overall health and livelihood outcomes of the communities.

OUR MISSION

To transform the lives of the underserved in our catchment area by improving access to healthcare and wellness, resource mobilization and capacity-building through networking and collaboration with stakeholders.

OUR VISION

Transforming lives through capacity-building and reliable access to quality healthcare and resources.

OUR VALUES

The principles that guide our operations as an organization are Gratitude, Respect, Attentiveness, Consensus-building, and Empathy (GRACE)

01

Attentiveness

We give undivided attention to our stakeholders, to listen to them and understand them in order to appreciate the enormity of their predicament. By being attentive to our stakeholders, we place ourselves in a better position to properly facilitate the unfolding of the transformation process we desire to see in people’s lives. At Touch of Mercy Inc, we listen carefully for every detail.

01

Gratitude

Members of Touch of Mercy Inc believe that showing gratitude to our stakeholders is an important attribute for the success and sustainability of our organization and programs. We appreciate our stakeholders for the precious time they spend to give us an audience and/or to read our plans and proposals, to participate in our programs, and to support us with much needed funding and resources, without which we cease to exist.

01

Consensus-Building

We also believe that to work together as a team of diverse people with diverse ideas and experiences, we must build consensus to arrive at decisions that are binding and acceptable to all. For us at Touch of Mercy, “no idea is stupid” and we encourage everyone to bring forth their thoughts and ideas to help make worthy decisions.

01

Respect

It is our innate and core value to show unwavering respect to everyone we interact with for the simple reasoning that they belong to humanity. Regardless of race, culture, sexual orientation, religion, political affiliation, or resource endowment, respect is a fundamental obligation for all at Touch of Mercy Inc.

01

Empathy

It is incumbent upon us at Touch of Mercy Inc to understand and share the feelings and aspirations of our stakeholders, to identify and mitigate challenges together, and to celebrate successes together. We feel the touch of the pain and suffering of our clients, we share in the desire of our funders to reach out with much needed resources to impart lives, and we celebrate our volunteers for their immense effort to participate in the transformation process.
